Who is the Apprenticeship for?

This Apprenticeship is ideal for any of your employees that provide healthcare support to adults in a range of healthcare settings.

These employees deliver essential care to every person whether they work in a person’s own home, residential or nursing home, or a clinical setting.

Typical roles that this Apprenticeship will support are:

Care Assistant, Care Worker, Personal Assistant, Shared Lives Carer, Support Worker, Mental Health Outreach Worker, Rehabilitation Worker & Housing Support Officer.


What will they learn?

This Apprenticeship has been designed to develop your employees’ existing skills and equip them with the expertise to offer first class care in line with your organisation’s culture.

Safety, wellbeing and protection will be at the heart of the inclusive and individualised support your employees will provide. They will learn the necessary planning skills to support not only the development of those in their care but their own personal development as well.

How will they learn?

Our Personal Tutors will deliver high-quality face-to-face learning and coaching and provide all the resources your employee will need to progress quickly. This Apprenticeship will develop your employees’ knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:

Optional units

• Supporting individuals to eat & drink • Meeting personal care needs • Moving & positioning individuals in accordance with their care plan • Supporting care plan activities • Providing support for therapy sessions
